Tailoring Coaching to Each Individual Players Skill Level

I tailor golf lessons to each player’s skill level effectively, using the following approach:

Initial Assessment
I Start by assessing the player’s current skill level, strengths, weaknesses, and goals. This could include swing analysis, short game evaluation, and course management understanding.

Beginner

“My beginner lessons follow a clear and easy-to-understand coaching structure that focuses on developing skills one at a time, building a faultless setup and swing technique.”

  • Starting with fundamentals: grip, stance, posture, and basic swing mechanics.
  • Including the rules and basic etiquette of golf.
  • Sessions that prioritise short game (putting, chipping) early in the coaching program for quick confidence boosts.
  • I Keep lessons simple and positive to build interest and avoid overwhelming players
    .

Intermediate Golfers

  • Working on refining swing mechanics and introducing shot-shaping techniques.
  • Developing course strategy including club selection and reading greens.
  • Introducing more advanced drills targeting weaknesses identified in the initial assessment.
  • Encouraging consistent practice routines with measurable goals.
  • Making a variety of Practice drills are included to encourage consistent practice routines with measurable goals, available to pupils

Advanced Golfers

  • Developing and fine-tuning swing details and consistency under pressure.
  • Focusing on optimising physical fitness and mental game aspects like focus and course management.
  • I Use technology like launch monitors and video analysis for in-depth feedback.
  • Working with Players to develop pre-shot routines and practice under simulated tournament conditions.

Practice and Feedback

  • Tailoring drills and practice plans to individual needs and encourage self-analysis and reflection.
  • Providing constructive feedback adjusted to the player’s communication style and motivation.
  • Adapting lesson pace according to the player’s learning speed and evolving goals.
  • Regularly reviewing progress and adjusting instruction accordingly.
